Position Summary
We are seeking a friendly, organized, and professional Receptionist to join our team. The successful candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors and will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the office by providing excellent service and administrative support.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
- Answer and direct incoming telephone calls.
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments.
- Register patients and maintain accurate demographic information.
- Respond to inquiries and provide information regarding services and procedures.
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail, faxes, and emails.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with privacy legislation and organizational policies.
- Receive and distribute messages promptly.
- Assist with filing, scanning, and maintaining electronic and paper records.
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in office administration is an asset.
- Previous experience in a receptionist, customer service, or administrative role preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and electronic scheduling systems.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Professional demeanor and commitment to exceptional customer service.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a healthcare or medical office setting.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
Pay: $20.00 per hour
