The mission of Egg Farmers of Ontario (EFO) is to provide consumers with a supply of safe, high-quality eggs at a fair price and a return to egg and pullet farmers achieved through fair farm pricing, within a stable national supply management system. This is accomplished through the efficient management of the production of eggs, research, product promotion, and ongoing marketing activities.
EFO currently has an opportunity for a detail-oriented and motivated Programs Coordinator to join the Policy and Strategic Initiatives team.
General Overview:
The Programs Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the development, administration, and delivery of programs that advance EFO’s strategic goals. This role will coordinate program activities, provide project management support, and ensure effective communication with producers, stakeholders, and internal teams.
The successful candidate will be highly organized, collaborative, a clear communicator, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Program Administration & Implementation
- Support the launch and administration of EFO programs.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date program documentation, guidelines, and records.
- Coordinate logistics for program-related activities and requirements.
- Ensure timely and efficient program implementation in collaboration with producers, stakeholders, and team members.
- Monitor progress and performance of programs to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Application Processing and Support
- Manage the full cycle of producer applications, including intake, review, preparation of summaries for panel evaluation, and communication to applicants.
- Ensure applications are complete, accurate, and compliant with program requirements.
- Coordinate the scheduling and preparation of materials for review panels.
- Serve as a point of contact for farmers and industry stakeholders, fielding phone calls and responding to inquiries about programs.
Program Coordination & Evaluation
- Assist with program design, monitoring, and evaluation.
- Liaise with producers and stakeholders to review proposals, budgets, and reports.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and program requirements.
Reporting and Communication
- Prepare timely and accurate internal reports for management and program oversight.
- Contribute content and data on program activities for external communications including newsletters, social media, and the EFO website.
- Communicate board decisions to farmers and industry stakeholders
- Provide updates and insights to leadership team to inform program improvements.
- Present findings to committees.
Competencies and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in a not-for-profit or program delivery environment is an asset.
- Experience with program administration, application-based processes, and stakeholder engagement.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver outcomes on schedule.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues quickly.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence in working directly with farmers and industry stakeholders in both one-on-one and group settings.
- Ability to prepare, analyze, and present data clearly and confidently to a variety of audiences.
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to communicate complex information in a clear and professional manner.
- Adaptability and flexibility to changing priorities.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a diverse team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); knowledge of project management tools.

Pay: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
