Baking and/or culinary diploma or degree with minimum 2 years experience in the field

Ability and understanding of the need to work in a fast-paced environment

Reliable and hard working

Proficient in Microsoft excel, word, and email

Able to implement production schedules

Ability to train and manage bakery team members

Working with specialized cooking equipment (ovens, mixers, proofer, dough sheeter, cookie hopper)

Communicate well with staff and other members of management team

Problem solving

Able to deal with adversity


Maintaining updated inventory of ingredients, supplies and product

Implement weekly production schedules

Outline daily production goals

Logging production data, yields and other relevant information

Weekly update meetings with management team and owners

Preparing, mixing and making a variety of baked goods

Train, develop, and motivate employees in a manner which builds and sustains a high performing team and minimizes turnover

The overseeing and execution of all baking and preserving products for retail and wholesale

Familiarizing new staff with workplace policies and procedures, health and safety practices, proper dress code and cleaning requirements

Provide leadership, problem solving and decision making

Create a very open working environment which empowers staff to achieve success and thrive in the workplace

Work with staff to create a team atmosphere

Ensure that food meets quality control and food safety standards

Implement health and safety in the bakery

Development of new and seasonal products

Updating recipes

Costing new products

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $15.00 to $16.00 /hour
