Dispatcher position oversees the fleet of 73 ore haul truck traffic as well as other service vehicles on the tote road by supporting ore handling supervisors and drivers to ensure safe and efficient operation.

Please note: this is a permanent position requiring a 2 week Fly - In, Fly-Out Rotation and a possibility of working days or nights.

Main Accountabilities
Dispatcher's primary function is to work alongside with Ore Handling Supervisor at Mary River and Milne Port to coordinate and optimize use of the Ore Handling Mobile Equipment Fleet; particularly the B-trains ore haul trucks and support equipment (grader, dozer, Etc.)
Provide technical support to the Ore Handling Supervisors for smooth and safe operations of all equipment
Liaise with mobile maintenance supervisor, Fountain tire, and road maintenance supervisor to coordinate equipment and road condition issues on the tote road and the laydowns.
Instill, support, and verify safe and efficient work practices by engaging leadership.
Assist crew lineup and coordinate truck swap at shift-end
Manage flow at the loading and dumping points to prevent bunching by diverting trucks for breaks or lubing where possible
Anticipate equipment fleet change (i.e. Trucks going into or coming out of the shop) and ensure supervisory / operators are aware to minimize standby time.
Dispatcher must be organized and have excellent interpersonal and communications skills
Able to multi-task and track multiple piece of equipment and personnel (two radio Channels, phone, computer, etc)
Maintain production and utilization spreadsheet
Issue production reports
Needs to have intermediate/advanced proficiency in MS Office.
Other duties as assigned.
Main Qualifications
Arctic Experience in earthworks construction, road and bridge construction or bulk transport experience
2+ years of earthworks construction or trucking experience
Supervisory experience
Communication skills including written (reports, memos, schedules, etc.) Verbal (employees, managers) and Facilitation (employee training)
Computer skills (Specifically Excel, Outlook and Word)
