About the Role
We're looking for a Registered Dietitian to join our clinical team as an independent contractor, building their own caseload within our clinic. You'll see general nutrition clients referred through the clinic, and you'll also be a key part of our weight management program as it launches, including patients on GLP-1 medications.
About Us
The Borough Health & Wellness is a physician-led, medical and wellness clinic in Etobicoke offering primary care, women's health, medical aesthetics, IV therapy, and allied health services including osteopathy, RMT, naturopathy, and psychotherapy. Our patients range widely, from women navigating perimenopause and hormonal changes, to postpartum and body-transformation clients, to general wellness and primary care patients across all ages. We're currently building out a structured weight management program alongside our existing patient base, and we're looking for a dietitian who wants to grow their own client roster with us, both general nutrition clients and, increasingly, weight management patients.
What You'll Do
- Build and manage your own caseload of nutrition counselling clients referred through the clinic
- Deliver nutrition counselling for weight management program patients, including those on GLP-1 medications (semaglutide, tirzepatide, etc.), as that program ramps up
- Conduct nutrition assessments and build individualized care plans suited to each client's goals, whether general nutrition or medical weight management
- Offer both in-clinic and virtual (telehealth) sessions
- Complete and process patient intake forms sent through our CRM ahead of appointments
- Collaborate with our physician(s) and clinical team on shared patients, particularly around GLP-1 protocols and any disordered eating risk
- Document sessions and manage scheduling through Jane App
- Help shape program materials and protocols as the weight management offering grows
What We're Looking For
Required:
- Registered and in good standing with the College of Dietitians of Ontario
- 2+ years of clinical experience as a Registered Dietitian
- Direct experience in weight management, obesity care, or medical nutrition therapy for metabolic conditions
- Comfort discussing GLP-1 medications with patients as part of a coordinated care plan
- Available and willing to deliver virtual sessions, in addition to in-clinic appointments
- Comfortable working with EMR/CRM systems for intake, scheduling, and documentation
- Strong communication skills and a high-energy, patient-facing style
Preferred:
- Experience using Jane App specifically
- Experience with disordered eating or eating disorder screening/referral pathways
- Interest in contributing to the design and growth of a clinical program, not just running a caseload
Certifications We Value
Beyond your RD designation, any of the following are a strong asset:
- SCOPE certification (Strategic Centre for Obesity Professional Education, World Obesity Federation)
- Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) credential
- Eating disorder-specific credential (e.g., CEDRD through iaedp) or comparable training
- Obesity Medicine Association allied health training
Compensation Structure
- Independent contractor engagement, compensation based on a revenue split on collected session fees (exact split confirmed with qualified candidates)
- Minimum in-clinic presence required to access clinic referrals, front desk support, and CRM intake coordination
- Patients booked through clinic referrals, intake, or marketing are Borough patients; full terms set out in your Independent Contractor Agreement
