Controller
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
· Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
· Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and monitor budgets and financial forecasts, providing insights into variances and recommending adjustments as needed.
· Cost Analysis: Monitor manufacturing costs, analyze cost drivers, and identify opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvements.
· Financial Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, tax laws, and internal financial policies.
· Financial Controls: Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks.
· Financial Strategy: Support developing and implementing financial strategies to drive profitability and growth in operations and closely monitoring net profits and variances
· Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis and provide decision support by evaluating investment proposals, capital expenditure projects, and pricing strategies.
· Inventory Management: Oversee inventory accounting and valuation, implementing best practices to minimize carrying costs while ensuring adequate stock levels.
· Yea end Financial Statements Support: Coordinate and facilitate yearend financial with external auditors, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
· Ad Hoc Analysis: Perform ad hoc financial analysis and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
· Working with the Bank and Insurance.
· Have good knowledge of payroll and able to work with the service provider.
· Coordinate with the accounting department and make sure that Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Job Costing and allocation is completed on time.
· Have a good knowledge of Inventory management and WIP valuation.
· Proficient with Sage 100
· Experience of inter company accounting and reconciliation each month.
· Cash flow management
· Can look into the big picture and advise accordingly.
· Can lead the accounting department and communicate with the departments.
· Can work with external accountant and keep the books ready for the year end.
· Working knowledge of corporate tax, GST and payroll.
· Easily approachable and solution provider and at the same time can keep the financial discipline and lead it as an example.
· Able to provide monthly reports and analysis to the management on the overall position of the whole group.
EDUCATIONAL AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
· CPA certification required.
· Minimum of 3 years of progressive finance and accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing/construction environment.
· Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
· Proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
· Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial software.
· Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· High level of integrity and ethical conduct.
HOURS
7:00 am – 4:00 pm Monday – Thursday and 7:00 am – 3:30 pm Friday
Overtime as required.
Pay: $120,000.00-$160,000.00 per year
