We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Licensed Automotive Technician to join our reputable dealership team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, hands-on experience with automotive repair, and the ability to diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicle issues. Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid replacements
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using schematics, diagnostic tools, and manual inspections
- Repair or replace faulty parts using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques
- Conduct detailed inspections to identify potential problems before they become major repairs
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment to ensure safety for all team members
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding repair needs and service recommendations
- Assist in vehicle troubleshooting using schematics and technical manuals
- Support the maintenance of shop equipment and tools to ensure proper operation
Qualifications
- Valid Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification or equivalent license
- Proven dealership or mechanic experience preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and electrical components
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics reading
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Experience with automotive repair, maintenance procedures, and assembly processes
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude
- Knowledge of vehicle diagnostics software and troubleshooting techniques
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
