Site Attendant, Temporary Part Time, Transitional Care
Temporary Part Time (up to 4 months)
$14.35/hour Reference#: 21-691
The site attendant is a support to unit staff in the event of unplanned fire or safety movement of patients
or evacuation of the unit or building. This role will be available on site to respond as required, that may
or may not require continuous duties between requested activities.
Role Responsibilities
Follows Providence Care’s Code of Conduct
Promotes and fosters a healthy workplace environment through supportive and respectful team
behaviours
Immediately reports to the unit in the event of a fire alarm or request for assistance
Responds to any particular needs of patients as directed by unit staff and ensures that all patients
are safely accounted for
Assists with transport of patients from one area to another on request
Ensures safety and security of patients during any interactions. Communicates any unusual events,
in communication book for staff arriving for duty the next day
Follows Providence Care’s corporate and the Transitional Care’s departmental policy and
procedures including recording action taken and any follow-up required, in the event of an
emergency
Keeps informed of the day-to-day operation of the role by reading the communication books,
reading PCH emails, listening to voice mail, and attending regularly scheduled site attendant staff
meetings
Works in compliance with the Health & Safety Act and its regulations in performing duties in a safe
manner and follows all health and safety policies, procedures and legislation including, wearing the
appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), as required
Required Qualifications and Experience:
Grade 12 Ontario Secondary School Diploma Education or equivalent
Voluntary or paid work experience in a helping capacity

Bilingual in French and English language, preferred
