The Grande Prairie Division of Nelson Lumber has an opportunity for a reliable, responsible person with an appropriate level of inside sales experience to join our fast-paced order desk team.
Duties and tasks include but are not limited to the following specific responsibilities:
· Knowledge of building materials.
· Offers exceptional customer service; investigates and troubleshoot customer service issues.
· High aptitude in understanding measurements and calculations to provide proper material take-offs.
· Estimating/quoting building projects.
· Responds to telephone, email and in-person inquiries from customers in a timely manner.
· Able to respect confidential information, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
· Provide support to the contract sales team.
· Positive attitude that is self-motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm.
· An acceptable combination of education and experience. Training will be provided.
· Handle inbound, unsolicited prospect calls and convert them into sales.
· Presents a professional sales image to the customer at all times.
· Performs other job-related duties as required.
Possession of the following skills and qualifications would be a definite asset:
· A working knowledge of the Bistrack Epicor computer systems, particularly quoting and order entry, is an asset but not required.
· Must take ownership of core responsibilities as assigned and communicate effectively with operations.
· The desire to complement Nelson Lumber’s sales team, communicate well, maintain organization, be highly effective and be accurate.
· Compensation will be reflective of the successful applicants’ skills and abilities and will be negotiated once the individual is selected.
