Tapagria Tapas Restaurant
Tapagria is a vibrant Spanish restaurant in Markham, dedicated to providing guests with authentic Spanish tapas dishes and cocktails in a casual atmosphere. We value hospitality, quality, and a welcoming environment for both our guests and team members. We are looking for a FOH staff to work alongside with our team under the supervision of the restaurant manager.
Summary
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server/bartender to join our team at Tapagria. In this role, you will work with our servers and kitchen staff to ensure a smooth dining experience for our guests. The bartender should also be responsible for operating the bar, making all beverages (coffee, tea, alcohol and liquor and more). Your contribution will help us create memorable moments for our guests in a lively and authentic setting.
Job Duties
- Welcoming guests and place orders
- Serving food and drinks in a professional manner
- Bus tables and maintain the restaurant area clean
- Prepare drinks orders at the bar
- Opening and closing of the bar
- Maintaining the bar area clean and stocked
- Proceed payment for tables and handling bookings through phone when necessary
- Be familiar with restaurant policies, offerings, special promotion and menus
- Provide ultimate customer service according to restaurant SOP and guidelines
- Communicate with the BOH staffs about dietary restrictions and customer needs
- Keeping service stations stocked with necessary items like silverware, napkins, bread, and condiments
- Demonstrating basic tasks to server assistant and working with them
- Helping with opening and closing duties
- Assisting with events and parties
- Reporting to restaurant manager
- Ensuring all health and safety regulations are followed
- Polishing tablewares
Skills and Experience
- Familiar with the food and bar menu
- Familiar with POS system and OpenTable
- Customer service skills
- Bartender skills and experience
- Barista experience is a plus
- Able to work in a team under a fast-paced environment
- 1+ year experience in the a non-fast food, dine in restaurant, preferably in a Spanish restaurant
Pay: From $17.60 per hour
