Position Overview
The Senior Programmer Analyst’s duty is to perform in-depth analysis, design, and development as well as troubleshooting, and maintenance programming work within a team. Work often involves many complex programming solutions. The Senior Programmer Analyst will assist in developing the skill of other team members and will help guide their work. In addition, noting inefficiencies and anomalies in existing systems and ensuring a means to improve and rectify them as well as, developing new applications according to Future standards.
Responsibilities
· Analysis and troubleshooting of problems, and identification of alternative solutions.
· Technical design and analysis.
· Evaluation of user change requests, and delivery of working solutions.
· Performance of programming necessary to the implementation of program changes, and definition of any necessary specifications.
· An understanding of the systems in general, with special emphasis on the assigned area.
· Performance of sundry tasks related to production support, including bug identification, program correction, correction of corrupt files, and system documentation.
Qualifications and Experience
· A minimum of scholastic achievement is required, such as a M.I.S. certificate, or technical certificate. A university degree is preferred.
· A minimum of five or more years of experience directly related to programming and analysis.
· Experience coordinating team members is an asset.
· Technological skills dictated by job function (see below)
· Proven experience as a .NET programming
· Familiarity with the ASP.NET framework, SQL Server and design/architectural patterns
· Hands on experience with the following technologies:
1. ASP.NET
2. C #
3. Visual Basic
4. XML
5. HTML
· Familiarity with architecture styles/APIs (REST, RPC)
· Understanding of Agile methodologies
· Excellent troubleshooting skills
· Attention to detail.
