Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists with medication preparation, labeling, and dispensing to ensure accuracy and safety.
- Manage inventory levels by receiving deliveries, organizing stock, and conducting regular stock checks.
- Provide excellent patient care by answering questions, offering medication guidance, and supporting prescription pickups.
- Maintain accurate records of medication transactions and update patient files with relevant information.
- Follow strict protocols for medication storage, handling, and disposal in compliance with health regulations.
- Support the pharmacy team with administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and processing insurance claims.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure timely medication delivery and patient satisfaction.
Skills
- Previous experience working in a pharmacy is highly desirable.
- Prior pharmacy technician experience is preferred to facilitate smooth workflow integration.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology to accurately interpret prescriptions and communicate effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate patient care with attention to detail.
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and safety protocols.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage inventory and maintain precise records.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and assist patients confidently.
- Knowledge of Fillware pharmacy management system and McKesson Pharmaklick ordering ststem is an asset.
