Working closely with Management, the Safety Advisor provides professional health and safety expertise and guidance to operations. The Safety Advisor has strong planning, organizational, and communication skills and is comfortable working in a team environment. Responsibilities include continuous promotion of Canadian Plains health and safety program and assisting workers, supervision, and management in hazard assessment and assessing compliance to applicable legislation.

Work site inspections
Conduct safety meetings
Coordinate training for employees and sub-contractors
Conduct and coordinate orientations
Transportation and driver compliance
Equipment maintenance records
Incident investigation and reporting
NSCO Certified
CRSP would be an asset
Minimum 5 years of oilfield construction experience
Microsoft Office application proficiency
Class 5 drivers license
Clean Drivers Abstract
Ability to pass a Alcohol & Drug pre-employment test
