Overview
We are a 4 Diamond Resort seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Sous Chef to lead and oversee our food service operations. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, team management, and hotel management skills, along with a solid background in the food industry. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining exceptional service quality in a dynamic hospitality environment. The Executive Sous Chef will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence and fostering a positive team culture.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise multiple-outlet restaurant staff, banquets, including cooks, servers, and kitchen personnel, to ensure smooth daily operations
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain high-quality standards and consistency
- Manage food handling procedures to comply with safety regulations and ensure food safety standards are met
- Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and service standards
- Coordinate with the team to deliver excellent customer service and enhance guest satisfaction
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage kitchen resources efficiently
- Train new staff members on food safety, service protocols, and company policies
- Ensure compliance with health regulations and maintain cleanliness and sanitation across all areas
- Lead by example in delivering outstanding hospitality experiences while fostering a positive work environment
Skills
- Current Executive Sous Chef or Sous Chef in upscale hotel setting
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to manage teams effectively
- Extensive restaurant, banquet management experience with a focus on operations, staff development, and customer service
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety standards
- Experience in food handling, kitchen operations, and hospitality services
- Excellent communication skills for serving guests and managing staff interactions
- Ability to oversee multiple responsibilities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with health regulations and safety protocols in the food industry
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams with professionalism and a focus on quality service
