Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Helper/Cook to join our culinary team. This role involves assisting with food preparation, cooking, and ensuring smooth food service operations. Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation and meal assembly according to recipes and standards
- Cook various dishes, ensuring proper presentation and taste
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces
- Handle food safely and follow all food handling regulations
- Serve food to customers or staff in a timely and professional manner
- Support inventory management by storing ingredients properly and notifying management of shortages
- Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for all staff members
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy setting
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including weekends or holidays if required
- Food handling certification or willingness to obtain certification upon hire is a plus
