Job Summary
Monstercat is seeking an entrepreneurial, relationship-driven Sync & Partnerships Manager to join our team. This is a revenue-generating business development role for an experienced sync licensing professional with an existing network of music supervisors, agencies, brands, production companies, publishers, or other buyers. You'll inherit an established portfolio of client relationships while actively developing new business opportunities across film, television, advertising, gaming, trailers, digital media, and emerging entertainment platforms.
We're looking for someone who thrives on ownership and doesn't wait for opportunities to come to them. The ideal candidate has experience identifying opportunities, pitching music, negotiating commercial terms, navigating rights clearances, and seeing deals through to execution. You should be equally comfortable leading a client call, responding to a creative brief, negotiating a licensing fee, or collaborating with legal and finance to close a deal.
One of Monstercat's unique advantages in the sync marketplace is our extensive one-stop catalogue, allowing us to clear both master and publishing rights on the majority of our repertoire. This enables our team to move quickly, reduce friction for clients, and focus on what matters most: building relationships, creating opportunities, and closing deals. Working closely with our Head of Sync & Partnerships, you'll own opportunities from initial outreach and creative pitching through negotiation, contracting, licensing, and payment collection.
We encourage applicants from all backgrounds and experiences to apply, especially those from underrepresented communities within the music industry.
This is a 12-month fixed-term parental leave coverage contract, with the possibility of conversion to a full-time role contingent on business needs.
