We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Intermediate Structural Engineer with experience in heavy civil infrastructure to join our growing team. Opportunities are available in Dartmouth, NS; Stoney Creek, ON; St. John's, NL; and Stratford, PEI. In this role, you'll collaborate with multidisciplinary professionals, contribute to meaningful infrastructure projects, and advance your career in a supportive, innovative, and dynamic environment.
What You’ll Do
As part of our team, you’ll be involved in a wide range of exciting engineering activities, including:
- Designing and analyzing structures such as bridges, marine structures, and heavy civil structures.
- Designing construction, demolition and erection engineering for major, award winning, civil/structural projects, including temporary works design
- Evaluating design options and contributing to innovative engineering solutions
- Preparing detailed designs, drawings, and technical specifications
- Developing cost estimates and technical reports
- Conducting site visits, inspections, and participating in project meetings
- Assisting in proposal development and project planning
- Coordinating with drafting teams to bring designs to life
- Managing project tasks and timelines
- Supporting senior staff with client development and business growth initiatives
What You Bring
We’re looking for someone who combines strong technical skills with a collaborative mindset:
- Registered, or eligible for registration, as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) in Canada
- Minimum 5 years of relevant structural engineering experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s degree is an asset)
- Solid foundation in structural design and analysis
- Familiarity with Canadian design standards (CSA S6, CSA A23.3, CHBDC)
- Experience with structural analysis and finite element modeling software
