Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Automotive Mold Finisher to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for finishing automotive molds to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. This role requires attention to detail, technical expertise, and a commitment to excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mold Finishing: Prepare and finish molds used in the production of automotive parts, ensuring smooth and high-quality surface finishes from A-1 polish to C-3.
- Inspection: Inspect molds for defects and inconsistencies; perform necessary adjustments and repairs.
- Quality Control: Adhere to quality control processes, ensuring all finished molds meet company and industry standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with design and engineering teams to understand mold specifications and required modifications.
- Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on finishing equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of mold finishing processes and quality checks.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience in mold finishing or related field, preferably within the automotive industry. Previous experience with the following mold materials preferred: aluminum, P-20, HH P-20, S-7, H-13, etc.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in using finishing tools and machinery (e.g., diprofiles, grinders, oscillators, etc).
- Attention to Detail: Strong eye for detail and ability to work meticulously to achieve high-quality finishes.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions in a timely manner.
- Team Player: Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in mold making, machining, or a related field is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment.
- Previous experience with operating overhead crane is preferred.

Salary Range
- $24-30/hr
- Overtime after 40 hours
- 8% Afternoon Shift Premium
