As the Student Financial Officer will be responsible for:
- Very familiar with OSAP applications.Disbursement of loans etc.
- Sending COE TO CCO, Familiarity with compliance, OSAP audit,OSAP performance requirements etc.
- The primary responsibility of this position is to provide financial advising to students enabling them to obtain educational funding resources. In addition, you will collect tuition and courseware fees as well as maintain student records. A strong background in customer service and sales is essential to success in this position. Collections experience would be an asset
- Qualifications
- To be successful in this role you will have:
- 2 to 3 years of related work experience.
- Experience working with student financial aid is considered an asset
- Strong knowlege of quick books and accounting Practices.
- Preference will be given to candidates that have experience working in a Private Career College.
- A strong background in customer service and sales.
- Proficient with MS Office, primarily Word and Excel.
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 9 to 5 pm

- Working with students to develop payment and financial assistance plans incorporating government funding, College scholarships and personal resources Providing information, guidance and assistance to students on funding and the financial aid application process Managing the financial aid application processes for the campus Making sure you are ready for audit compliance with internal and external policies, procedures and standards Supporting the admissions team to financially package the student. Administrative functions of the campus to enhance the student experience Behave in a manner that upholds the standards of the college.The purpose of the Student Financial Aid Officer in position is to act as a liaison between Admissions and Student Finance and make sure that complete and accurate applications for financing of student educational expenses in accordance with Provincial/Federal regulations and Company policies and procedures. The Student Financial Aid Officer is responsible for student financial interviews, financial options counseling, intake processing and customer service. The Student Financial aid officer performs a variety of tasks related to the provision of filing, follow up, information, guidance and assistance to students on financing options for enrolling in the College's programs.
Making sure that student packaging is Important to meet the monthly starts budget.Follow up with students on a daily basis to make sure all files are completely packaged for starts on time.
Requirements:
- Post-secondary education in business or finance from an accredited educational institution or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Previous experience for at least three within the Private Career College industry an asset.
- Strong orientation towards high-volume, fast-paced, time sensitive business operations
- Successful in maintaining exemplary customer service
- Detail oriented with the ability to prioritize workloads to meet deadlines
- Must be able to work independently within a team environment
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel Word PPT , Zoom, google classroom
