Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Speech Therapy Assistant to support children and youth with speech, language, communication, and social communication goals. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of a Speech-Language Pathologist and help implement individualized therapy activities in home, community, school, daycare, or virtual settings.
Responsibilities / What you’ll do
- Deliver speech and language activities as directed by the supervising SLP.
- Support clients with communication, language development, articulation, social communication, and functional communication goals.
- Implement individualized therapy programs in home, community, school, daycare, or virtual settings.Prepare therapy materials and activities.
- Record client participation, progress, and relevant session information.
- Complete session documentation accurately and on time.
- Communicate professionally with the supervising SLP, caregivers, and other members of the clinical team.
- Follow established treatment plans and remain within the Speech Therapy Assistant scope of practice.
- Participate in supervision, training, and team meetings.
- Support a respectful, neuroaffirming, strengths-based, and client-centred approach to care.
What we’re looking for
- Diploma, certificate, or post-secondary education related to Speech-Language Pathology Assistant studies, Communicative Disorders Assistant studies, Linguistics, Psychology, Education, Child Development, Behavioural Science, or another related field.
- Experience working with children, youth, or individuals with communication or developmental needs is an asset.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable, organized, and able to follow clinical direction.
- Comfortable working independently while maintaining regular communication with the supervising SLP.
- Ability to travel to client homes and community locations when required.
- Additional language skills are considered an asset.

Pay: $30.00-$50.00 per hour
Expected hours: 2.0 – 25.0 per week
