Job Summary

Duties
- Safely operate commercial trucks to transport freight within local routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load, unload, and secure freight using forklifts and other heavy equipment, ensuring proper handling and safety procedures are followed
- Conduct routine inspections of vehicles and equipment, performing basic automotive repairs or coordinating repairs as needed
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, shipment documentation, and inspection reports to ensure compliance with company policies
- Assist in warehouse operations by managing freight movement, stacking, and organizing shipments efficiently
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues promptly
- Follow safety protocols at all times, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to OSHA standards
Requirements
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with an AZ endorsement for local driving routes
- Proven experience in commercial driving and freight transportation within a local setting
- Skilled in operating forklifts, heavy equipment, and performing basic automotive repairs
- Ability to lift heavy loads safely and work in physically demanding environments
- Knowledge of safety regulations related to freight handling and vehicle operation
- Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and clients
- Prior experience with freight management systems or related technology is a plus
