What is the opportunity?

As a Data Quality Dashboard Reporting Analyst you will design, develop, deploy and document analytics dashboards & reports and automated solutions for assigned projects related to Data Governance / overall Data Management capabilities, to ensure U.S. Data Office strategic goals and objectives are accomplished.

What will you do?

Application Development

Works with Business Analysts, Subject Matter Experts, Key Stakeholders and fellow Data Analysts to create automated solutions that address business needs, as documented in business requirements documentation.
Creates Systems Design documents from the business requirements to convey a sound technical understanding of the requirements and a clearly articulated solution, using Visio, Tableau, Excel, and other tools as needed.
Works with relevant U.S. DO members to choose the “best fitting” tools for the requirement. If there are tool alternatives that need to be considered, clearly articulates their pros and cons.
Uses tools to develop automated solution, using an iterative “Agile” methodology so that the Business Analysts and Key Stakeholders see “work in progress” output and to ensure that the solution’s functionality is in line with Stakeholder understanding.
Continues the above process until Business Analysts and key Stakeholders are satisfied with functionality.
Works with Business Analyst(s) to create a “Production-ready” versions for full UAT, and to create a testing script.
Creates a deploy script and uses it to deploy the system to UAT for testing.
Makes changes as needed and continues this cycle until UAT signoff is received.
Creates a deploy script and uses it to deploy the system to Production.
Creates documents to be used for performing a Production checkout.
Seeks to understand alternative approaches/solutions to improve existing systems and for developing new ones.
Keeps abreast of new technologies that may be suited to U.S. DO/RBC.
Follows industry trends and organization knowledge to understand alternative approaches/solutions.

Documentation

Works with fellow Data Analysts to ensure consistent folder structure and content structure for system documentation, creating templates as needed.
Fully documents all systems developed.
Works within the team to establish best practices for system design, application development, deployment, testing, and other documents that collectively define the framework of the Data Analytics workstream.
Assists the Business Analyst in creating a user manual for the stakeholders.

Provides superior client experience and strengthens relationship with project team and other stakeholders.
Collaborates with project team across the organization to get things done.
Resolves conflicts/issues and escalates others as appropriate.
Provides PM and team lead with timely updates on project operational issues.
Provides PM and team lead with timely updates on specific project deliverables, tasks and milestones.

Development & Coaching

Continually enhances skills and builds knowledge in all aspects of the organization, the business and information systems.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have:
Undergraduate Degree in an IT field (Data Science, Information Systems/Technology, Software Engineering, or related)
3+ years of experience as a Data Analyst or Data Scientist, preferably in the Financial Services industry
Dashboarding and Data Analysis using BI and analytics tools such as Tableau, QlikView/Qlik Sense, Birst, Sisense, Datameer/Alteryx
Understanding of RDBMS concepts and SQL such as joins, unions, primary keys, indexes
Statistics basics and statistical tools such as R and SAS
Data Lake/Big Data concepts such as HDFS, HIVE, NoSQL
Newer technologies and languages such as Python, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Data Mining, Natural Language Processing

Nice-to-have:
Knowledge of Banking and Capital Markets Regulations such as CCAR, FRTB, etc.
