RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF THE MUHC
The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal, Quebec, the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. The RI-MUHC is supported in part by the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Santé (FRQS).
Position summary
Research in the Sabatini lab focuses on how the central nervous system controls energy expenditure and feeding behaviour and how loss of control of these processes leads to disease. We are looking for a highly motivated and organized new lab member to oversee day-to-day operations, maintain the lab’s mouse colony and help study diseases such as obesity and anorexia.
General Duties
- Conduct animal protocols in rodents including mouse colony management,
- Assist in performing experiments.

Education / Experience
Education: Bachelor's Degree
Field of Study: Biology
Work Experience:
- Previous experience working with transgenic mouse models and mouse colony management,
- Previous experience as a laboratory technician.

Other Requirements:
- Written and oral fluency in English and French,
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills,
- Ability to work independently or with teams with minimum supervision.
Additional information
Status: Temporary Occasional - 10 hours per week
Pay Scale: $21.73 - $32.60, commensurate with education & work experience
Work Shift: 9 AM to 5 PM
Work Site: Glen
