You will provide personalized virtual tutoring to students in grades 1-12, using a mixed curriculum approach to support their learning in subjects such as Math, Physics, Biology, Chemistry, French, and English. The position offers competitive pay of $20-25 per hour and guarantees at least 20 hours of work weekly, primarily between 3-9pm on weekdays with occasional weekend hours. You will report directly to the program coordinator and help foster a supportive, patient, and engaging learning environment through one-on-one sessions.
Responsibilities
- Conduct individualized virtual tutoring sessions with students in grades 1-12
- Communicate effectively with students to promote understanding and engagement
- Occasionally develop personalized lesson plans tailored to student needs
- Monitor and report on student progress to the program coordinator
- Maintain consistent availability according to a fixed weekly schedule
- Foster a positive and patient learning environment during video calls
Required Qualifications
- Currently studying or previously studied Math, Physics, Biology, Chemistry, French, or English
- Ability to commit at least 20 hours per week, including weekday evenings and some weekends
- Access to a laptop or tablet suitable for virtual tutoring sessions
- Comfortable using video calls for interactive teaching with camera on, if student consents
