Founded in 2004, Eco Guardian is a Canadian manufacturer of compostable, plastic-free food packaging — cups, bowls, and food containers made from rapidly renewable materials like sugarcane and bamboo that protect the environment without compromise.
We have recently opened a new, modern production facility in Aurora, Ontario, bringing sustainable manufacturing closer to the Canadian market we serve.

Why This Role Matters
The Materials Coordinator keeps our production line running. Nothing gets made if raw materials aren’t in the right place at the right time, and nothing ships if finished goods aren’t moved and recorded accurately. You are the link between our warehouse and our production floor — the person the line depends on to stay supplied, and the person our inventory system depends on to stay accurate.
This is a role of real ownership. You won’t just move product; you’ll be accountable for the accuracy of every material movement, so that our systems, our planning, and our automation can be trusted.
What You’ll Do
- Supply the production line. Move raw materials — paper blanks, paper rolls, plastic wrap, and cardboard packaging — from the warehouse to the floor so the line never runs short.
- Move finished goods. Transfer completed pallets from production into their correct warehouse locations, handled with care and without damage.
- Own the data. Scan and transact every material movement in our Warehouse Management System (WMS) using an RF scanner, at the time of movement. This is central to the role: accurate, real-time transactions are what keep our inventory correct and our automated systems and planning reliable. Getting this right is as important as the physical work itself.
- Support the dock. Load and unload trucks, verify deliveries against documentation, and stage receipts correctly.
- Operate equipment safely. Use counterbalance and reach forklifts, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks in line with site procedures and daily equipment checks.
- Keep the workspace safe and clear. Maintain tidy travel routes and staging areas, follow all traffic and safety rules, and report hazards immediately.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in a warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environment (food-safe environment an asset)
- Comfort with WMS or RF scanning systems, or the aptitude and attention to detail to learn them quickly
- A genuine commitment to safe operating practices — this is non-negotiable for us
- Reliability, organization, and the ability to juggle several material movements at once without losing accuracy
- Strong communication for coordinating with production, warehouse, and delivery contacts
- The physical ability to perform the demands of the role across a full 8-hour shift
- The ability to work independently with a sense of urgency and accuracy
Forklift experience is welcome, but full training and on-site forklift certification will be provided for the right candidate. Clamp truck endorsement is also provided on site for those with relevant experience.
Physical Requirements
- Operating powered equipment (forklift, reach truck, pallet jack) for the majority of the shift
- Lifting and carrying up to 45 lbs as required
- Standing, walking, and moving throughout an 8-hour shift in an active warehouse and production environment
Food Safety & Workplace Requirements
Eco Guardian operates to certified food safety standards (SQF).
All production employees must:
- Wear required PPE at all times: steel-toed safety footwear, hearing protection, gloves, hair net, and beard net (where applicable)
- Follow strict personal hygiene and grooming policies in all production areas
- Comply with all site health, safety, and food safety policies and procedures

Hours of Work
Current shift: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. As production volumes increase, working hours may be adjusted to meet demand. Any changes will be communicated in advance.
