Here at Wynona Restaurant We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our busy restaurant team. We're hiring a line cook to get trained on pasta/ grill station with future opportunity to move into a sous chef role. This a 4 day work week (40-44 hours)! Closed on Sundays. Also above standard weekly tip out
The ideal candidate will be passionate about food, cooking, and delivering exceptional food service in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an opportunity to develop culinary skills, work in a vibrant food industry setting, and contribute to creating memorable dining experiences for our guests in our open kitchen. Candidates should have a strong understanding of food safety and handling procedures, along with at least two years restaurant or kitchen experience.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and quality standards
- Assist in food preparation, including chopping, assembling, and portioning ingredients
- Ensure all dishes are presented attractively and served promptly to guests
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including sanitizing work surfaces and utensils
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and compliance with health regulations
- Support the team during busy service hours by efficiently managing multiple orders
- Adhere to all food safety guidelines and restaurant policies at all times
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation during each shift
Experience
- Prior experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments preferred
- Experience making pasta would be highly beneficial
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods
- Familiarity with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Experience with meal preparation and food industry best practices is a plus
- Strong understanding of serving, food presentation, and customer service principles
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting while maintaining high-quality standards
