The Programs- Connects/Passages/Journeys/Triveri House/Excel
Enviros provides Group Care, Open custody, and Housing services in 5 live-in programs in Calgary with 24/7 supports. Group care programs (Connects, Passages and Journeys) provide support services to children and youth who, for a number of reasons, are unable to live at home and who are involved in Children and Family Services. Excel is an Open Custody program that supports young people in an open custody sentence who are exiting the justice system and reintegrating back into community. Triveri House is a placed based Supportive Housing program for young adults experiencing episodic or chronic homelessness.
The Position- After Hours Supervisor
The After Hours Supervisor is part of the Enviros Leadership team and is responsible for supporting the overall safety of person served and staff in the program while on shift. They are responsible for overseeing and coordinating the weekend overnight and on-call operations of the live-in programs and to promote and build relationships with other professionals. This full-time position will cover the Enviros Live-In Programs On-Call responsibilities Friday through Monday. This coordinator position involves a combination of administrative, training and direct client and staff support roles. This includes administrative responsibilities Mondays and Fridays along with direct support to Awake Overnight teams over the weekend (both over the phone and in person).
This role involves close communication with all live-in programs, program supervisors and managers. The position will include the coordination of awake overnight staff positions and scheduling relief coverage as required on weekends; this may include working an overnight shift when coverage cannot be obtained. Weekly work schedule will be flexible to accommodate on-all responsibilities.
Enviros Leadership Team
·Actively support and participate in Enviros business plan activities
·Attend monthly leadership meetings
Organization and Administration
·Work closely with the live in program supervisors and managers to ensure all awake overnight shifts are covered
·Support on-boarding and orientation training for new employees; particularly, the awake overnight teams and relief employees
·Have a good understanding of and ensure all notifications are made according to Alberta Children’s’ Services and Alberta Solicitor General protocols and that internal communications with supervisors and managers follow Enviros policies
·Provide crisis intervention and support

·Reports to the Live-In Program Manager
For Consideration Applicants Will Need to Demonstrate the Following:
To be considered for this opportunity, applicants should have minimally a degree/diploma in the Human Service field, experience with youth in a group living environment; be aware of trauma informed practices, and be professional, reliable, and able to work independently.
•A current criminal record check including vulnerable sector (completed within last 6 months).
•A current Alberta Intervention Record check (completed within last 6 months).
•Valid First Aid and CPR.
•A valid class 5 driver’s license.
•Current Suicide Intervention (ASSIST) and Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) training would be an asset and must be completed within 6 months of employment.
This position is well suited for individuals who are highly organized, excel in communication, have strong computer skills and can work calmly in urgent situations. The majority of this work will include coaching (through telephone or directly) front line awake overnight staff in dealing with situations involving person served. This role also includes shift coverage and requires someone with strong interpersonal skills.
