Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable bilingual bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and assisting with general accounting tasks to ensure the financial health of the company. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and experience with accounting software.
Responsibilities
- Accounts Receivable/Payable: process invoices, payments, and related transactions.
- Process and verify invoices, expense reports, and payments.
- Calculate some commission reports for our sales representatives.
- Ensure all transactions are recorded accurately in QuickBooks Online (QBO) to support monthly GST/PST filing.
- Assist with payroll processing and related tasks
- Manage and reconcile company bank accounts and credit card statements.
- Ensure compliance with accounting regulations and company policies.
- Prepare necessary documentation for audits when required.
- Provide support to the Controller and finance team as needed.
- Manage the filing and organization of financial documents for easy retrieval.
- Maintain accurate records for all transactions and filings.
Requirements
- Minimum 2-3 years of proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks must have) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Minimum high school diploma required; additional qualifications in accounting or finance is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $52,000.00-$62,000.00 per year
