This opportunity is ideal for a seasoned field leader who thrives in complex industrial environments, enjoys leading teams from the front, and takes pride in safely delivering large-scale concrete-intensive construction projects.
The successful candidate will provide site leadership for major industrial civil construction projects with a significant focus on structural concrete, concrete foundations, formwork, precast installation, earthworks, underground utilities, and civil infrastructure construction.
This is a site-based opportunity supporting projects across Western Canada. Candidates can be based anywhere in Canada but must be willing to travel and work rotational schedules at project sites as required.
Typical Rotations Include:
- 14 days on / 7 days off
- 10 days on / 4 days off
- Local projects may operate on a Monday to Friday schedule consisting of 10–11-hour days
Flights to and from project locations are provided in accordance with company travel policies.

Candidates with experience leading field execution on industrial facilities, energy projects, utilities infrastructure, water and wastewater projects, mining projects, concrete-intensive industrial projects, and major infrastructure developments are strongly encouraged to apply.
About the Role
Reporting to the Construction Manager, the Civil Superintendent is responsible for ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with project specifications, quality standards, and contractual requirements.
The successful candidate will lead all field execution activities while working collaboratively with Project Management, Engineering, Safety, Quality, Labour Relations, and Project Controls teams to ensure successful project delivery.
A significant portion of this role (approximately 70% or greater) will focus on concrete-related scopes, including:
- Concrete foundations
- Structural concrete
- Formwork systems
- Precast concrete installation
- Concrete placement, finishing, curing, and quality control
- Rebar coordination
- Concrete testing and inspection activities
Projects are typically valued at $10M to $100M+, with preference given to candidates who have successfully delivered large-scale industrial construction projects within this range.
What You Bring to the Team
- Minimum 5-10+ years of experience as a Civil Superintendent or Senior Foreperson within industrial or heavy civil construction environments.
- Significant experience leading field execution on concrete-intensive industrial projects, with at least 70% of recent experience focused on concrete scopes.
- Strong experience with:
- Concrete foundations
- Structural concrete
- Formwork systems
- Precast concrete
- Earthworks
- Underground utilities
- Site development
- Demonstrated experience supervising projects valued at $10M+, with experience on projects valued between $50M - $100M+ considered highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of concrete placement, finishing, curing, quality control, and testing procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret:
- IFC drawings
- Shop drawings
- Rebar drawings
- Construction specifications
- Civil drawings
- Proven ability to lead union and non-union field crews within complex project environments.
- Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, workforce planning, productivity management, and project execution.
