The opportunity
Responsible for analysing, designing, developing, supporting and improving the software systems of the organization to meet their business objectives. Contributes business and technical knowledge to relatively complex IT projects and initiatives.

Who you'll work with
This role will be joining a team of expert application developers who have focus on Compliance applications, reports and services. In your role, you will report to the Technical Team Lead or Manager, Total Fund.

What you'll do
With supervision and code/design reviews by senior staff, responsible for the timely completion of high quality, well-designed and well architected systems that make appropriate use of technology.
Responsible for completion of an acceptable volume of work and for the communication of status of personal work plans and tasks required to design, develop, and test assigned portion of projects.
Responsible for maintaining currency in technological trends and directions continually upgrading personal technical and IT related skills through research, education and self‑motivated technology experimentation.
Participate in new technology investigation and make recommendations for new technology adoption where appropriate.
Other duties as assigned.
What you'll need
Computer Science or Engineering degree or equivalent working experience.
Sound knowledge of information systems theories, concepts, methods, and techniques.
Minimum 3 years design/development experience with at least 3 years full-time application development experience in the financial industry.
Communicate and interact effectively with systems professionals, as well as end users who are not systems experts.
General knowledge in Regulatory Compliance Rules and Regulations and Financial Instruments.
Strong interest in the financial industry required. Completion of the Canadian Securities Course and/or CFA candidacy is an asset.
Excellent organizational, analytical and problem solving skills
Expertise in the following technologies: Angular 6, C#, .NET, Visual Studio 2010+, PL/SQL, WebAPI, WCF/Web Services(SOAP and REST), Web Development, SSRS, SSIS, PowerBI
Exposure with various software development methodologies and practices such as Test Driven Development, Continuous Delivery, Scrum and Agile. Experience with the following technologies, or equivalents: Jira, GitHub, Jenkins, Nexus, UrbanCode.
