PCF is an important business unit within LCL that manages and develops the products and service programs in order to improve the customer experience, maximize value, and provide a platform to enhance customer insights and relationships. Reporting to the Sr. Manager, AML, the Assistant Manager, AML Oversight will be responsible for supporting the development of new and enhancement of existing AML/ATF controls, control testing, ongoing reporting and ensuring adherence to PC Bank’s AML/ATF policies.
What you'll be doing:
Day to day monitoring of the Banks’ AML/ATF program to ensure compliance with all Legislative and Regulatory requirements;
Reviewing and updating Bank policies, procedures and quality assurance processes as they relate to AML/ATF;
Conducting and maintaining the Business Attestation process for the AML/ATF Program;
Supporting the execution of the Bank’s annual AML Risk Assessment and Self-Assessment of Controls, as well as relevant data analysis and testing for the AML/ATF Program;
Monitoring departmental compliance with processes, controls, standards, rules and guidelines in relevant departments;
Supporting the development and maintenance of the Bank’s AML Training for all stakeholders across the Bank, including employees and vendors;
Executing the second-line control testing for the AML/ATF Program;
Monthly reporting of the Bank’s AML/ATF Program to the Operational Risk Management Committee
Developing and maintaining of Standard Operating Procedures (‘SOPs’), trackers and other internal reports;
Regular monitoring of relevant laws, prudential standards, rules and guidelines and industry best practice to ensure continued compliance;
Developing new and enhancing existing reports on the Bank’s AML/ATF Program.
Supporting the development and execution of new controls and processes, as well as implementation of new regulatory requirements
What You'll Need:
Minimum undergraduate degree, preferably in Business, Commerce or equivalent;
Three to five years of AML/ATF experience at a Canadian Financial Institution
CAMS certification is preferred
Background in Canadian AML/ATF compliance and working understanding of the PCMLTFR, OSFI Guideline B-8 and FINTRAC Guidelines
AML/ATF retail banking experience
Knowledge of AML/ATF controls for credit cards would be an asset\
Ability to document control testing results in a clear and organized manner, provide recommendations for control enhancements to various stakeholders and collaborate with stakeholders on process enhancement opportunities
Self-starter attitude with a proven ability and willingness to learn new tasks, processes and systems
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to foster and develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders
A good team player who is also able to work independently in a fast paced and dynamic environment
Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and the ability to learn other internal systems and technical tools
Strong organization, time-management and prioritization skills
