Float Driver – Oversized Load / Excavation Equipment

Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Float Driver to transport excavation equipment including oversized loads to and from job sites. The ideal candidate brings a minimum of 3 years of AZ driving experience, a clean driving record, hands-on experience with heavy haul operations, and the ability to operate the very equipment they haul, including excavators, dozers, and more.
What You Will Be Doing
- Safely transport excavators, dozers, graders, and other heavy equipment on a float/lowboy trailer to and from job sites
- Plan and execute oversized load moves in compliance with provincial permit requirements and traffic regulations
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on truck and trailer
- Operate live bottom trailers as required
- Load, unload, and operate excavators, dozers, and other excavation equipment on and off the float as needed
- Assist on job sites with equipment operation when required
- Communicate site supervisors, and site crews
- Secure all loads properly ensure they are safely strapped, blocked, and flagged before transport
- Maintain accurate logbooks and documentation
What You Bring
- Valid AZ license in good standing with a minimum of 3+ years AZ driving experience
- Clean driver's abstract, no serious infractions or suspensions
- Proven experience hauling oversized loads, solid knowledge of wide/oversize load permit requirements
- Experience operating a transport, flat deck and live bottom trailers
- Hands-on experience operating excavators, dozers, and other heavy excavation equipment, ability to load/unload and operate on site
- Strong understanding of load securement practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Punctual, reliable, and safety-focused
- Experience in excavation or heavy construction environments
- Additional equipment certifications or tickets
