Job Summary

The Assistant Controller will participate in the all accounting processes including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Fixed Assets and Costing. They will also assist with both month-end and year-end close and reporting.

Job Duties

  • Accounts Payable unit:
  • provide assistance to verification, processing and posting related invoices/statements where required
  • provide assistance in the investigation/resolution of Vendor related concerns/inquires
  • Accounts Receivable/Invoicing unit:
  • provide assistance with resolution, costing, and subsequent invoice tracking * Monthly Equipment Sales Reporting:
  • review/testing of monthly Equipment and Parts/Service reporting * Inventory:
  • review/testing of inventory costing within data base
  • validation and testing of product standard and custom product costing, Finished Goods and Work-in-Progress inventory
  • validation and testing of year-end Physical Inventory, including raw materials, Finished Goods, and Work-in-progress * Fixed Assets:
  • review/testing of Fixed Asset register * Financial Reporting:
  • compile data to assist with forecast and budget process
  • assist with the preparation of month-end/year-end reporting
  • assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement consolidation of business group’s entities * Actively provide additional assistance/support to all other members within the Team

Job Requirements

University degree in Accounting/Finance OR other related education with extensive experience

  • Preference to CPA designation or working toward designation
  • Minimum 5 years’ hands-on experience preferably in a manufacturing environment a must
  • Mastered full-cycle accounting processes and procedures
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of accounting principles and practices
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Strong work ethic and detail oriented
  • Ability to take initiative and resolve issues
  • Ability to work well independently and as a member of a team
  • Proficiency in accounting software
  • Strong and proven experience in MS Office; specifically, Excel (advanced)
