Heavy Duty Mechanic – Truck & Trailer Repair
Overview
We are looking for a skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team at AAA Truck & Trailer. This role focuses on diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining commercial trucks, trailers, and related heavy equipment in a fast-paced repair shop environment.
What You’ll Do
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair heavy-duty trucks and trailers
- Perform preventative maintenance (brakes, suspension, engines, driveline, hydraulics, etc.)
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues efficiently and accurately
- Repair or replace worn or damaged components
- Perform welding and fabrication as required
- Complete work orders and basic service documentation
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work area
What We’re Looking For
- Experience as a Heavy Duty Mechanic (trucks/trailers preferred)
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Basic electrical and hydraulic knowledge
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and safety
- CVIP experience is an asset (not required but preferred)
