The Country Manager, Amazon Business Canada is the single-threaded owner of AB Canada's commercial go-to-market — accountable for revenue delivery, organizational leadership, product strategy, and market development across Commercial, Public Sector, and Strategic segments. This is a true general manager role: you own the P&L, the team, the customer relationships, and Canada's strategic agenda within AB's worldwide organization.
You will lead a team of senior sales managers and specialists, serve as Canada's primary voice to AB's worldwide leadership on investment priorities and product roadmap, and represent Amazon Business externally at the C-suite level with Canada's most important commercial and public sector organizations. You will be entrepreneurial and innovative — thinking big while driving the day-to-day rigor of a large, fast-moving business. You will define Canada's long-term strategy, advocate for the resources and capabilities needed to execute it, and build a team and culture that sets the standard for every AB market that follows.
Key job responsibilities
Business Ownership & Strategy
- Own CA CPS revenue delivery across Tail Spend and Managed Spend motions, Spending Users, Quality Launches, and Closed/Won targets — delivering and exceeding OP2 goals
- Define and execute AB Canada's annual operating plan (OP1/OP2), including goal-setting, resource allocation, headcount planning, and investment prioritization
- Lead quarterly and annual business reviews with AB NA and WW leadership, translating Canada's performance trajectory and strategic needs into compelling investment cases and escalations
- Build Canada's two-motion TS/MS portfolio, balancing near-term delivery with long-term pipeline health and market development
- Define Canada's long-term business strategy based on competitive dynamics, customer trends, and the evolving B2B procurement landscape
Organizational Leadership
- Lead, develop, and hold accountable a team of 70+ across Commercial, Public Sector, Strategic, CAM, and product functions
- Build and strengthen the leadership bench — developing senior managers into next-generation leaders and creating clear succession depth at every level of the organization
- Set the cultural standard: high bar, customer obsession, and a bias for action — creating an environment where the best people want to work and grow
- Make hard people and organizational decisions with speed and clarity, including talent assessment, restructuring, and performance management
Product Parity & Innovation
- Own Canada's product parity agenda — driving Canada's inclusion in WW product launches and building the cross-functional partnerships with ABFI, ESI, and central teams needed to close structural feature gaps
- Partner with AB's global product, tech, and retail organizations to represent the voice of Canadian customers and influence the worldwide roadmap
- Position Canada as a WW innovation reference market — co-designing product launches, piloting new capabilities, and exporting learnings globally
- Lead Canada's Go-To-Market strategy for emerging motions including Managed Spend, RFx/contracting, and new customer segments
External Engagement & Market Development
- Represent Amazon Business externally at the C-suite and board level with Canada's largest commercial, enterprise, and public sector organizations
- Engage government relations, industry associations, and procurement bodies to strengthen AB Canada's market position and regulatory standing
- Build and maintain executive relationships with strategic accounts, channel partners, and key external stakeholders
- Serve as a visible external voice for Amazon Business in the Canadian market
