Car-Net Wine & Spirits is a premium beverage alcohol company representing a portfolio of award-winning Tequilas, Mezcales, and other premium spirits.
As we continue expanding our presence across Alberta, we are looking for enthusiastic and professional Brand Ambassadors to represent our portfolio through in-store tastings, retail activations, and special events.
Position Overview
We are seeking outgoing, reliable, and professional Brand Ambassadors to conduct in-store tastings at liquor stores throughout Edmonton and surrounding areas.
This is a part-time, contract position with flexible scheduling, ideal for individuals who enjoy interacting with customers, have an interest in premium spirits, and are comfortable educating consumers about Tequila and Mezcal.
Previous experience with in-store tastings, liquor promotions, hospitality, or beverage alcohol sales is strongly preferred. Spanish-speaking candidates are preferred.
Responsibilities
- Conduct in-store Tequila and Mezcal tastings at liquor stores.
- Engage customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Educate consumers about each brand's story, production process, tasting profile, qualities, and awards.
- Encourage product trial and help generate brand awareness and retail sales.
- Set up and clean up tasting stations while following AGLC requirements and individual store policies.
- Track samples served and bottles sold and complete a brief post-tasting report.
- Maintain strong knowledge of the products being represented.
- Attend product training sessions when required.
- Represent Car-Net Wine & Spirits and its brands professionally at all times.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Previous Brand Ambassador or in-store tasting experience is preferred.
- Experience in spirits, liquor retail, sales, hospitality, promotions, or customer service is an asset.
- Knowledge or interest in Tequila and Mezcal is highly desirable.
- Spanish-speaking candidates are preferred.
- Outgoing personality with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Professional appearance and attitude.
- Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working independently.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift tasting supplies up to approximately 20 lbs.
- Access to a vehicle is preferred, as travel to different liquor stores may be required.
- Must hold or be willing to obtain a valid ProServe certification.
Schedule & Compensation
- Part-time / Contract
- Approximately 3–8 hours per week, depending on scheduled tastings and retailer requests.
- Tastings are typically scheduled Wednesday through Saturday, with most events taking place during afternoons and evenings.
- Each tasting is generally 3–4 hours, depending on the retailer's requirements.
- Additional hours will be available during the holiday season and other peak promotional periods.
- Flexible scheduling based on store requests and event availability.
