Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring the integrity of our accounting data. This role requires proficiency with various accounting software and a strong understanding of bookkeeping principles to support the company's financial health and compliance. The Bookkeeper will play a vital role in account reconciliation, bank statement analysis, and budgeting processes to facilitate informed decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities including data entry and record keeping
- Maintain and update financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and timely
- Perform account reconciliation and bank statement analysis to ensure accuracy of financial data
- Prepare financial reports, including account analysis and budget reports, for management review
- Assist with payroll processing and related reporting requirements
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes by verifying ledger entries and balances
- Collaborate with auditors during financial audits by providing necessary documentation
Requirements
- Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles, with familiarity using QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero software
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, payroll processing, and financial reporting standards
- Experience managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, account reconciliation, and bank reconciliation processes
- Ability to perform detailed account analysis and assist with budgeting activities
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data effectively
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Prior experience in using various accounting software platforms is preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required; further education in accounting or finance is a plus
Pay: From $17.60 per hour
