Duties
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute electrical installations and repairs
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical systems including low voltage wiring, power distribution, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in automation processes
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively to perform wiring, conduit bending, panel assembly, and other electrical tasks
- Conduct renovations by upgrading existing electrical systems or installing new infrastructure in compliance with safety standards
- Diagnose electrical issues using schematics and troubleshooting techniques; repair or replace faulty components promptly
- Perform routine inspections of electrical systems to ensure ongoing safety and operational efficiency
- Collaborate with construction teams on new builds or renovation projects to install electrical components according to project specifications
Experience
- Proven experience as a residential, commercial or industrial electrician or in a similar electrical role within construction or manufacturing environments
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and technical diagrams related to electrical systems
- Hands-on experience working with low voltage wiring, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and control panels
- Familiarity with the use of hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment necessary for electrical work
- Demonstrated ability to perform renovation projects involving existing electrical infrastructure
- Previous handyman experience is a plus, showcasing versatility in handling various maintenance tasks
- Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations applicable to industrial electrical work
