Forge Recruitment is pleased to partner with a boutique Toronto law firm in its search for an experienced Family Law Clerk to join its growing Family Law Practice. About the Role
Manage family law files from intake through to resolution, ensuring all deadlines, court dates, and limitation periods are carefully monitored.
Prepare and organize financial statements, financial reports, Net Family Property calculations, and related financial documentation.
Assist with the preparation, review, and organization of financial disclosure and disclosure briefs.
Draft, format, proofread, serve, and file a variety of family law documents, pleadings, correspondence, and court materials.
Coordinate service and filing of documents with the appropriate courts and through applicable electronic filing systems.
Communicate directly with clients to obtain information and documentation, provide file updates, and respond to general inquiries.
Maintain accurate, organized, and up-to-date client files, including correspondence, financial records, disclosure, and court materials.
Apply a strong working knowledge of the Ontario Family Law Rules, court procedures, and applicable filing requirements.
Provide general administrative and clerical support as required, including scheduling, docketing, billing assistance, and maintaining file records.
What You Bring
10+ years of experience as a Family Law Clerk.
Strong knowledge of Ontario family law procedures and the Family Law Rules.
Excellent drafting, proofreading, organizational, and document management skills.
Confident communicating directly with clients and handling sensitive family law matters with professionalism and discretion.
Hands-on experience with electronic court filing and service procedures.
Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal practice management software.
Ability to work independently, manage files with minimal supervision, and collaborate effectively with lawyers and other team members.
Pay: $130,000.00-$150,000.00 per year
