Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dog Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality grooming services to dogs of various breeds and sizes, ensuring each pet looks and feels their best. This role requires excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and physical stamina to handle the demands of grooming and heavy lifting. The Dog Groomer will play a vital role in enhancing the well-being and appearance of our furry clients while delivering a positive experience for pet owners.
Responsibilities
- Bathing, drying, and brushing dogs to ensure cleanliness and comfort
- Trimming, clipping, and styling fur according to breed standards or customer preferences
- Cleaning and sanitizing grooming tools and work areas regularly
- Assessing the health of each dog and alerting owners to any concerns or abnormalities
- Providing exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about grooming needs and preferences
- Managing appointment schedules efficiently to accommodate client requests
- Handling heavy lifting of large or energetic dogs safely and comfortably
- Ensuring the safety and well-being of pets throughout the grooming process
Experience
- Three to five years experience grooming dogs
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Ability to handle physically demanding tasks, including heavy lifting of large dogs
- Knowledge of breed-specific grooming standards is a plus but not mandatory
- Passion for working with animals and providing excellent care and service
Pay: From $25.00 per hour
