For over 50 years, Kniaziew Optometry has been a leader in eye care across southwestern Ontario. We are excited to offer a Part-Time Associate Optometrist position within our Corunna team.
This role provides competitive compensation, state-of-the-art diagnostic technology, and a supportive, collaborative environment designed for long-term growth. Whether you are an experienced clinician or a recent graduate, this is an opportunity to build your career while making a meaningful impact across a dynamic and growing region.
Why Corunna?
Corunna is a welcoming riverside community in Southwestern Ontario that offers the perfect balance of small town living with easy access to everything you need. Nestled along the beautiful St. Clair River, Corunna is just 15 minutes from Sarnia and approximately 20 minutes from Port Huron, Michigan, giving residents convenient access to shopping, dining, entertainment, and cross border travel while enjoying the slower pace and affordability of a close knit community.
Known for its friendly atmosphere and strong sense of community, Corunna is a place where healthcare providers become trusted members of the community. Patients value long term relationships, appreciate personalized care, and genuinely get to know their healthcare team. It is an ideal environment for building a rewarding and meaningful career in optometry.
The area offers an outstanding quality of life with beautiful waterfront parks, walking and cycling trails, boating, fishing, golf courses, and year round recreational activities. Families enjoy excellent schools, safe neighbourhoods, and a welcoming community, while young professionals appreciate being only minutes from the amenities of both Sarnia and Port Huron.
Corunna also serves patients from surrounding communities throughout Lambton County, providing clinicians with the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by increasing access to eye care in both rural and urban settings. It is the perfect place to build a fulfilling career while enjoying the best of Southwestern Ontario and the convenience of two vibrant cities just a short drive away.
Who We’re Looking For:
This opportunity will become available in the fall as one of our beloved optometrists begins a well deserved retirement after an incredible career dedicated to serving the Corunna community. It is a rare chance to step into an established practice with a loyal patient base while continuing the legacy of exceptional care that has been built over many years.
The timing also makes this an ideal opportunity for new graduates. After the demands of clinic, exams, and graduation, you'll have the summer to recharge, travel, spend time with family and friends, and reset before beginning your career with confidence in the fall. Instead of rushing into practice immediately after graduation, you'll be able to start refreshed, supported, and ready to hit the ground running.
Whether you're a new graduate looking for the perfect first position or an experienced optometrist seeking a fresh opportunity, this is a unique chance to join a thriving practice and make an immediate impact in a welcoming community.
Applicants must be fully licensed and in good standing with the College of Optometrists of Ontario, having successfully completed all educational, examination, and registration requirements necessary to independently practice optometry in Ontario.
