Job Summary
Breckenridge Excavating is seeking a experienced and skilled full-time Excavator Operator to join our team in residential new home construction.
Duties
- Operate excavators with precision to perform digging, trenching, loading, and material handling.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on excavators and other machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
- Support site preparation activities including grading, leveling, and excavation for foundations or utilities.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues and coordinate repairs when necessary.
- Follow all safety protocols diligently to maintain a secure work environment for yourself and colleagues.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating excavators in residential construction.
- Able to excavate to grade.
- Quick trench installation.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting on heavy machinery.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL)
- Knowledge of construction processes including site preparation, grading and utility installation.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards.
- Experience reading locates and house plans is a must.
Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour
