Cafe Team Leader – Job Description
The Cafe Team Leader is responsible for overseeing daily café operations and ensuring an exceptional customer experience. This role supports staff, maintains operational standards, and works closely with management to ensure smooth and efficient service.
**Operations Management**
* Oversee day-to-day café operations including opening and closing procedures
* Ensure smooth service flow during busy periods
* Monitor product quality, presentation, and consistency
* Maintain cleanliness, food safety, and health regulations
* Manage inventory levels and communicate supply needs
**Team Leadership**
* Lead, motivate, and support café staff during shifts
* Assist with training new employees and ongoing team development
* Delegate tasks and ensure staff are following procedures and standards
* Foster a positive, respectful, and collaborative team environment
**Customer Experience**
* Provide friendly and professional customer service
* Handle customer questions, concerns, or complaints promptly and effectively
* Ensure guests receive a consistent and welcoming experience
**Administrative Support**
* Assist with scheduling and shift coordination
* Support management with daily sales reporting and cash handling procedures
* Ensure policies and operational guidelines are followed
**Qualifications**
* Previous café, restaurant, or hospitality experience
