POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Shunt Driver / Warehouse Specialist who is an expert in all areas of logistics and warehouse operations. This is a multi-skilled, hands-on role at the heart of our production facility. The ideal candidate can move seamlessly between shunting, forklift operation, picking, receiving, shipping, and documentation — and takes pride in mastering every one of them.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Shunting & Transportation
- Safely shunt raw materials to and from the production facility
- Position trailers at loading docks with precision and efficiency
- Coordinate with production scheduling to ensure timely material flow to the floor
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections per MOT regulations
Loading & Unloading
- Load and unload inbound and outbound trucks safely and efficiently
- Verify load counts, weights, and product integrity during loading and unloading
- Secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transport
- Report any discrepancies or damaged goods to the supervisor immediately
Forklift Operations
- Operate forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks safely
- Move raw materials, finished product, and packaging supplies throughout the facility
- Perform daily forklift inspections and report any equipment issues promptly
- Maintain organized staging areas and clear travel paths at all times
Warehouse — Picking, Receiving & Shipping
- Pick orders accurately using pick lists or RF Scanners
- Receive inbound shipments: verify quantities, inspect for damage, and record in the system
- Process outbound shipments including preparation of paperwork
- Assist with cycle counts, physical inventory, and regular stock audits
- Organize and maintain warehouse storage areas for maximum efficiency and safety
Paperwork & Documentation
- Complete all shipping and receiving documentation accurately and on time
- Maintain driver logs, vehicle inspection records, and chain-of-custody documents
- Process bills of lading, delivery receipts, and inventory transaction forms
- Ensure all records comply with company, and food safety requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Valid G LIcence
- Clean Drivers Abstract
- Minimum 2 years of experience in shunting
- Certified forklift operator with proven proficiency
- Demonstrated experience in warehouse picking, receiving, and shipping operations
- Ability to accurately complete shipping, receiving, and transportation paperwork
- Strong knowledge of MOT regulations and transportation safety standards
- Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout a shift
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in a food manufacturing or production environment
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or RF scanning equipment
- OSHA 10 or 30-hour certification
- Knowledge of food safety protocols including GMP and HACCP
- Experience with inventory control and cycle counting procedures

Pay: $17.20-$25.18 per hour
