Joseph Brant Hospital (JBH) is seeking a Human Resources Recruitment Specialist.

As a key member of the Human Resources team, the Human Resources Recruitment Specialist is responsible and accountable for recruitment and selection for an identified client group. The incumbent contributes to the development, promotion and management of appropriate recruitment strategies to profile job opportunities for his/her client portfolio.

AS THE HUMAN RESOURCES RECRUITMENT SPECIALIST YOU WILL:
  • Manage the recruitment process and guide/support hiring managers in the selection process.
  • Accountable for the complete recruitment cycle for client portfolio including job posting, advertising, pre-screening, interview, selection of preferred candidate, reference checking and job offer.
  • Support client group in the updating of position guides and related postings.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of Human Resource policies, procedures and programs.
  • Identify conferences, job fairs and other career and business events that offer recruitment opportunities.
  • Build relationships with hiring managers to influence hiring decisions in line with HR policies or collective agreements.
  • Collaborate with the HR team to develop standardized recruitment processes and practices across the organization.
  • Achieve and improve upon recruitment metrics to enhance service to the organization.
  • Recommend process improvement opportunities.
  • Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of legislative guidelines having an impact on the delivery of Human Resources and Recruitment services.
  • Independently respond to routine queries, requests or complaints from all client levels on a range of operational Human Resources services.
  • Support Human Resources policy amendments and program development initiatives. Participate in the development and updating of standard operating procedures within the team.
  • Collaborate with the team to design develop and produce data and reports to support departmental needs.
  • Assists in the gathering of data and completion of monthly scorecard metrics.
  • Attend regularly scheduled client meetings.
  • Conduct exit interviews with departing employees and maintain database.
  • Maintain HRIS and provide regular reports as requested.
  • Assist with system implementations and/or upgrades.
QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:
  • A minimum post-secondary degree as well as diploma in Human Resources Management or equivalent.
  • Completed or working towards CHRP or CHRL.
  • A minimum 3 years recent experience working in a recruitment role.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply employment legislations (e.g., Employment Standards, Human Rights, Health & Safety, Privacy, Compensation, Labour Relations, etc.), Human Resources Policies and Collective Agreements.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office suite and previous experience working with HRIS systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to build, foster and maintain productive relationships with candidates, clients, and team members.
  • Excellent data entry skills, superior organizational and time management skills.
  • Adaptable to changing priorities, deadlines and procedures, strong attention to detail and problem solving skills as well as the ability to multi-task in an organized manner with a variety of employee requests.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Human Resources metrics.
  • Strong interpersonal and diplomacy skills, able to network with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Strong customer service focus, ability to work with private and confidential material.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, professional attitude and results oriented
