Site Supervisor/Skilled handyman
The Site Supervisor will report to the Project Manager.
Managing job sites/day-to-day operations.
Main Activities:
o Job site maintenance:
- Responsible for opening and closing job sites each day
- Doors are locked at the end of each day
- Job sites are to be secure after working hours
- Window/door openings are concealed with plywood
- Setup and maintain job boards
- Post and maintain company lawn sign, permits and other required signage/cameras
- Setup and maintain temporary lighting as needed
- Contact porta potty company to order/pickup and maintain cleanliness of temporary washroom facilities
- Contact and coordinate garbage bin deliveries and pickups
o Job schedules:
- View schedule daily to check on-site work aligns with schedule
- Report any schedule discrepancies to Project Manager immediately
- Schedule trades and labourers as needed if delegated to by Project Manager
o Safety:
- Ensure compliance with the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations
- Ensure compliance with WSIB
- Responsible for safety on job sites
- Perform or delegate labour to maintain clean and safe job sites
o Working with Project Manager:
- Daily communication to ensure project is on schedule and all scope of work is financially accounted for
- Discuss the requirement of any potential change order(s)
- Order/purchase material for job sites as needed if delegated to
- Assist in meetings with clients, city inspectors, engineers and designers as necessary
o Working with subcontractors:
- Perform quality control to minimize deficiencies and delays
- Ensure all work is satisfactory prior to them requesting payment
- Resolve conflict
o Working with professionals:
- Attend all building inspections and report any deficiencies to Project Manager
- Attend meeting with engineers and designers as necessary
o Deficiencies/Warranty work:
- Assist the Project Manager in completing/delegating deficiency and warranty work for all assigned projects
- Update PDI/Warranty Google Doc in real time
- Confirm work is satisfactory prior to changing status of deficiency/warranty work
o Review and complete all checklists for each stage of work as per Buildertrend schedule
o Ensure you are familiar with scope of work for all assigned projects
o Ability to perform all jobs on the site and fill in as necessary. Including but not limited to;
framing, drywall, trim, paint, etc.
o Must represent Elite Construction and Renovations in a professional and responsible manner at all times
o Attend performance reviews at completion of deficiencies to assess profit/loss
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
