Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Farm Laborer to join our agricultural team. This role involves hands-on work in crop cultivation, maintenance, and farm operations. The ideal candidate will be physically capable, eager to learn, and comfortable in a greenhouse setting. This position offers an opportunity to gain practical experience in horticulture while contributing to the success of our farm operations.
Duties
- Assist with planting, watering, fertilizing, and harvesting crops using appropriate tools and equipment
- Other specific duties include: preparation work for planting, installing drippers, replacing drippers, replacing irrigation hoses, watering plants, pruning, winding, preparation work for the removal of plants, plant removal, hanging strings, clipping, picking, de-leafing, packing, lowering, operate scissor carts and other work equipment, cleaning, lifting up to 50 pounds. All duties are related to cucumber plants.
- Operate farm machinery such as electric scissor carts
- Use hand tools and power tools for various tasks including planting, pruning, etc.
- Conduct general farm upkeep including weed control, pest management.
- Assist with loading and unloading supplies, equipment, and harvested produce
- Follow safety protocols during all activities to ensure a safe working environment
Experience
- Experience is welcomed but not a requirement.
- Training will be available on first day of employment.

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 24 months
Pay: $17.60 per hour
