Blackjacks Roadhouse & Games Room is a staple of Alberta’s hospitality and trucking community. Conveniently located between Leduc and Edmonton along Highway 2, we are a home away from home for travelers, truckers, and locals looking to enjoy great food, live entertainment, and friendly service.

Position Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and hands-on Evening Restaurant & Events Supervisor to work closely with our Management Team to ensure outstanding guest experiences during our busiest times — evenings and weekends.
This role also includes responsibilities as an Expo/Host, making you the first point of contact for guests while also acting as the final checkpoint between the kitchen and front-of-house team to ensure quality service and smooth food delivery.
The ideal candidate will have experience in restaurant and bar operations, staff leadership, VLT oversight, and guest service, with the confidence to manage event flow from start to finish. You will be actively present on the floor — supporting staff, assisting guests, and ensuring service runs smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Operations
- Lead restaurant and bar operations during evening service
- Supervise servers, bartenders, hosts, and support staff
- Foster a positive and professional team environment
- Work closely with management to maintain service standards
- Assist with nightly cash-outs and shift-end reporting
- Work 5 shifts per week, including evenings and weekends
Event Supervision
- Oversee evening rentals, banquets, concerts, bike nights, and entertainment events
- Ensure events run smoothly from setup to completion
- Coordinate communication between staff, kitchen, bar, and guests
Expo/Host Responsibilities
- Welcome and seat guests with professionalism and positivity
- Manage seating flow, reservations, and guest inquiries
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff during busy periods
- Check food orders for accuracy, presentation, and timing
- Ensure efficient communication between front and back of house
Inventory & Compliance
- Assist with liquor and beer inventory, ordering, and waste controls
- Ensure compliance with food safety and liquor service regulations
- Support and oversee VLT operations
- Maintain Reel Facts and ProServe compliance standards
What We’re Looking For
- Hospitality leadership or supervisory experience
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude and strong guest-service mindset
- Experience with restaurant/bar operations preferred
- VLT experience considered a strong asset
- ProServe certification preferred

Pay: $21.00-$23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32.0 – 40.0 per week
