Associate Dentist — Ottawa, Ontario
Join our patient-focused dental team
Sedation Dental Group is seeking a friendly, motivated Associate Dentist to join our established general dental practice in central Ottawa.
We are a full-service practice serving patients of all ages and providing preventive, restorative, cosmetic, emergency, periodontal, implant, and children’s dentistry. Our team is committed to delivering high-quality care in a welcoming and supportive environment where patients feel heard, respected, and comfortable.
This is an excellent opportunity for a dentist with a few years of clinical experience who would like to continue developing their skills, build lasting patient relationships, and work alongside an experienced and collaborative team.
The opportunity
The Associate Dentist will:
- Perform comprehensive examinations and develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide general and restorative dental treatment
- Clearly explain diagnoses, treatment options, and expected outcomes
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centred care
- Work collaboratively with dentists, specialists, hygienists, dental assistants, and administrative team members
- Maintain complete and timely clinical records
- Follow RCDSO standards, infection-prevention requirements, privacy obligations, and applicable professional guidelines
- Participate in referrals and collaborative treatment planning when appropriate
- Contribute to a respectful and positive workplace culture
Depending on the successful candidate’s skills and interests, there may be opportunities to expand into areas such as endodontics, oral surgery, children’s dentistry, emergency care, Invisalign, cosmetic dentistry, implants, and full-mouth rehabilitation.
The practice also supports patients who experience dental anxiety. Experience with sedation dentistry is welcome but is not required for this role.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- A DDS, DMD, or equivalent recognized dental degree
- Current registration and a valid certificate of registration with the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario, or eligibility to obtain one before commencing practice
- Current professional liability protection as required to practise dentistry in Ontario
- Current CPR certification
- Approximately two or more years of clinical experience preferred
- Sound clinical judgment and a commitment to high-quality care
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A warm, patient, and professional chairside manner
- An interest in continued learning and professional development
- The ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative dental team
We are not necessarily seeking a highly experienced dentist. Early-career dentists with a strong clinical foundation, a willingness to learn, and a genuine commitment to patient care are encouraged to apply.
French-language skills are an asset but are not required.
