Tax Technology and Transformation – Tax Staff or Senior Tax Staff
Tax Technology and Transformation offers services to companies in response to the impact of existing and emerging technology, including the growing data burden that many businesses face, driving efficiencies to create a cost-effective tax function and to the need to understand how to make data an asset. The underlying objective of the combined offerings is to help businesses navigate the digital age of tax transparency alongside new trends in tax compliance and tax audit methods, as well as helping to solve the most pressing challenges that businesses face. Tax Technology and Transformation is composed of the following services: Digital tax transformation, Tax applications-as-a-service, Tax data and improvement, Tax analytics and reporting enhancement, Emerging tax technology, including robotic process automation (RPA), machine learning (ML), artificial intelligence (AI), data lake development and business intelligence innovation, Tax technology program mobilization, Custom tax technology application development and deployment, Direct and indirect tax systems implementation and configuration, Tax operating model transformation, including process improvement, risk and controls, and Tax function assessments

Your key responsibilities
Depending on your unique skills and ambitions, you could be supporting various client projects, from assisting in the production of leading practice MS SQL Server, SharePoint and MS Power Platform such as BI solutions, or implementing third-party tax applications, or supporting and automating internal and external operations of multinational tax departments. Whatever your engagements, you’ll find yourself contributing as well as helping develop a highly trained team, all the while handling activities with a focus on quality and commercial value.

The ability to identify and assess opportunities to improve and optimize tax functions from people, process, data and technology perspectives
An innovative mindset and the ability to develop practical solutions to solve next generation tax department issues
Highly organized and capable of managing multiple concurrent responsibilities in a fast-paced environment, balancing the sense of urgency with a high attention to detail
Supporting project team members in any way needed to help ensure timely completion of deliverables
To qualify for the role, you must have
A degree in
Accounting, with numerous electives or a minor in Computer Science or Information Systems, or
Computer Science or Information Systems with numerous electives or a minor in Accounting
Equivalent work experience will also be considered
A natural flair for problem solving and an entrepreneurial mindset
Demonstrated ability to capture and synthesize business requirements
Strong organizational and time management skills
Exceptional client-serving consulting abilities including excellent communication and business writing skills
Advanced Microsoft Office skills including VBA, Excel Power Query and Power Pivot, SharePoint, SQL Server
Ideally, you will also have at least one of the following
A traditional corporate income tax background (income tax compliance & reporting) coupled with a strong interest in technology and its use in business and tax processes
Corporate accounting and reporting OR financial planning and analysis experience with a strong interest in technology and business processes
